Laura Holzscheiter

As Laura's daughter, Mellie has been around working dogs her entire life; she even viewed Gottfried Dildei as her "extra grandpa". Mellie has been here since we opened in 2013.  Her main roles are: running the office, teaching environmentals and dock-diving, and organizing events. Mellie is also the club leader for CloverField K9's GRC club! 

Rocco is CloverField K9's new in-house decoy and assistant trainer to the operational and working-dog program. Rocco is a retired K9 Handler for the US Marines. His career highlights include being a squad leader for the 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion Kennels, a trainer for the Exercise Cope North 2020 with the Royal Australian Airforce, Japanese military, the US Navy, US Army, and US Airforce. He was also deployed as NCO for Canine on the 31st MEU for floats 21-1 and 21-2. Rocco was also a foreign weapons instructor and a fast rope master. Now, Rocco assists with the training in our working dog programs including the Police K9 Patrol and Narcotic schools, in-service trainings, private-contract K9s, and acts as our decoy. 

Bryon is an active duty Police K9 handler at the Essex, Vermont Police Department. Bryon started his working dog journey here at CloverField K9 in our earliest days with his 2 pet dogs. Over the years, Bryon's passion developed into being an incredibly strong Police K9 handler. Here at CloverField, Bryon's role is to instruct and assist with Police K9 trainings. 

Rob served 24 years as a police officer in the Manchester, Connecticut Police Department. During his time as a Police officer, Rob acted as a K9 handler and K9 instructor (patrol, narc, decoy school, high-risk tracking + deployments). He has also trained many dogs for federal, state, and local agencies as well as private-sector security dogs and personal protection dogs. Rob was also a K9 handler for the East Central Narcotics Task Force. Here at CloverField, Rob will be assisting in our Police K9 schools, in-service trainings, helping with our sales prospects/private-hire dogs, and providing decoy instruction.

Amy grew up in Vermont and has been around animals from a young age. She has an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology and worked in humane societies before pursuing an EMS career as a paramedic. Eventually, she returned to her passion for dogs by running off-leash camps and training programs. Her favorite thing is spending time with her two dobermans. 

Sam has been a part of the CloverField Family since 2018. Sam's childhood background with hunting dogs has made her transition to working dogs easy and smooth! Her roles here are primarily the care and keeping of our in-house dogs, and sales prospects! 

Anna plays an essential role in the daily care of all of the CloverField critters. Anna grew up around horses. Animals have always been a major part of her life. While Anna is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her personal dogs, including her wolf hybrid. 

Nicki structures her sessions focused on teaching with clear, straight forward instruction that enable each student to learn at his/her own pace. She teaches with positive reinforcement techniques. Nicki’s background in college athletics allows her to adjust training with individual student needs and physical abilities.

Nicki’s handling focuses on finding fluidity and connection within every course, allowing the dog to confidently maximize their skill set. Nicki views dog agility as a fun game that allows us to create a lifelong bond of love and understanding with dogs – through running and chasing – and a perfect way to keep our dogs fit and engaged in life.
